UAV Technician

TYTAN is a young deep-tech defense startup that develops a cost-effective counter-drone solution to protect people and critical infrastructure. We are an international team of ambitious engineers who combine expertise in autonomous systems and UAV design.

We are looking for a new team member who is eager to make a real difference! As a UAV Technician, you will ensure our products are built and scaled to deliver industry-leading safety, reliability, and performance.

Your mission

• Take a leading role in building a team and infrastructure to enable the mass deployment of unmanned systems

• Plan and coordinate production workflows to meet deadlines and specifications

• Oversee and execute the hands-on manufacturing, assembly, and testing of UAVs and their subsystems

• Support flight testing activities to ensure performance and reliability

• Develop and implement new methods to enhance efficiency, quality, and traceability

• Collaborate with engineers to translate designs into functional prototypes and production-ready UAVs

• Manage supplier and vendor relationships, overseeing procurement and ensuring high-quality, cost-effective materials

• Maintain lab organization, equipment, and safety standards

Your profile

• Completed apprenticeship or craftsman training in a relevant field with 1+ years of relevant work experience

• Proficiency in additive manufacturing, laser cutting, CNC machining, sheet metal work, soldering, and spot welding

• Working knowledge of UAV-specific electronics, avionics, and related components

• Skilled at sourcing, negotiating, and coordinating material procurement

• Balances creative, out-of-the-box thinking with practical, long-term solutions to address both immediate and future needs

• Highly self-organized, with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on mentality with solid multitasking and self-organization abilities

• Excellent communication and coordination skills

• Fluent in German or English
