People
People are the individuals at your companies — whoever you actually talk to. People lists every one of them across every client, so you can find someone without remembering where they work.Adding a person
Add one from a company’s Contacts tab, or from the People list. Name and company are the only things that matter; everything else can wait.Roles
A role says what this person can do about your proposal:How they prefer to be reached
Each person can be marked Email, Phone, or Text. It is a note to yourself, not a setting — nothing in the app changes because of it.The person page
Two columns: their details on the left, four tabs on the right.- Left panel — name, email, phone, title, role, preferred channel, and their company. Every field edits in place and saves as you type.
- About — one standing description. Their remit, how they like to be reached, anything worth knowing. Click the pencil, write, press Save.
- Notes — as many dated notes as you like, each with an optional title. A note you write on a person also shows on their company.
- Activity — everything logged against them: calls, meetings, emails, notes, record changes, and anything synced from your calendar or mailbox.
- Emails — email history with this person from your connected mailbox.
Sending email
With Gmail or Outlook connected under Settings → Integrations, you can email a person without leaving the app. Click Send email in the top bar; a compose panel slides in with them already filled in as the recipient.- Email is sent from your own address — never from a dronelist.io domain — so replies land in your inbox and the thread appears in your provider’s Sent folder.
- Add more recipients, Cc and Bcc, formatting, and attachments (up to 5 files, 3.5 MB total).
- Send with the button, or ⌘/Ctrl + Enter.
- Sent mail shows up in the Emails tab shortly after, where you can log it as an interaction.
The assistant can draft a follow-up for you, but it never sends anything.
Every message that leaves your mailbox is one you pressed send on.
Importing a contact list
From People, click Import to upload a CSV or Excel file of companies and contacts.1
Upload
Drop a
.csv or .xlsx file, or download the template first. The file is parsed and saved on
the server straight away, so you can refresh or navigate away without losing progress.2
Map columns
Match each column in your file to a company or person field. You need at least a company name
and one person’s name.

Review and clean
Fix any status, role, or other values dronelist did not recognise, then import.
Tips
Fill in the role before you send a proposal

Knowing whether your contact can say yes, or has to ask someone who can, changes what you write
and who you copy in.
Write the About once, keep notes dated
Write the About once, keep notes dated
About is who they are. Notes are what happened. Keeping them apart means the standing facts do
not get buried under a year of call notes.

Clients forward proposals to colleagues. Anyone not on the proposal hits the email gate — see
